A large inflatable colon stands at the end of the north end of the Roswell Mall during the Chaves County Health Expo Saturday. The Colon was part of a display from the Partnership for the Advancement of Cancer Research. The Partnership is a collaboration between New Mexico State University and the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center in Seattle.
Chaves County hosted a Health Expo Saturday at the Roswell Mall. Staff from Eastern New Mexico University-Roswell, first responders and others were on hand to give a series of workshops and demonstrations on various health issues and medical techniques.

The annual exposition allows local healthcare providers to promote their services and healthy living. The event was put on by Eastern New Mexico Medical Center and the Chaves County Health Council.
