The New Mexico Department of Transportation held a ribbon-cutting and dedication ceremony Thursday, Sept. 3, honoring former LPGA player Nancy Lopez at U.S. Highway 285 South and the Roswell Relief Route intersection.
New Mexico anglers reported mixed fishing conditions this week. Largemouth bass were biting well at Carlsbad Municipal Lake, while trout action ranged from slow at Bonito Lake and the Pecos River to good at Red River. Abiquiu Lake produced excellent walleye, crappie and bluegill catches, and Albuquerque Area Drains offered fair to good catfish fishing.

The Coyotes will focus on containing quarterback Micah Takahashi and limiting big plays.
