Single-lane closures with a pilot car from 6:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
A $1.74 million roadway rehabilitation project on U.S. 380 east of Roswell, is scheduled to begin on Monday, August 17.
The rehabilitation project extends from milepost 180 to milepost 184.9 and includes a 3-inch mill and fill of the roadway surface and new striping. These improvements will provide a smoother driving surface, extend pavement life, and enhance safety for motorists, according to a news release from the New Mexico Department of Transportation.
Drivers can expect single-lane closures with pilot car operation throughout the duration of the project and working hours. Work will take place Monday through Friday, from 6:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. This project is expected to be completed at the end of August, weather permitting. Drivers are advised to plan accordingly and expect some delay.
Motorists are advised to use caution, observe all signs, and reduce speed for maintenance vehicles and crews, the release read.
Constructors, Inc. has been contracted to complete the work.
