UPDATE: Dexter has extended its lead after recovering a Ruidoso fumble. Demon running back Rigo Regalado ran it in from a yard out for a 33-8 Dexter lead with 6:14 left in the third quarter.
DEXTER – Following a 42-yard touchdown strike from Dexter quarterback CJ Grenados to Rigo Regalado to give the Demons a 26-0 lead, Ruidoso’s football needed something to build up some momentum before the break.
The Warriors got it with a 46-yard scamper by quarterback Mason Fikany, then saw Fikany pass to Zaiden Harris for the two-point conversion and a 26-8 score.
Fikany has been Ruidoso’s leading rusher with 89 yards through two quarters, while Granados’ arm has been lethal. He’s throw for 163 yards and three scores in the game.
