A man and a woman were found fatally shot in Roswell Tuesday, Sept. 8 and police said the deaths were being investigated as homicides.
Stacia Marie Pearce, 38, and Tony Joseph Ontiveros, 39, were found suffering gunshots wounds by police officers at about 3 a.m. at a residence in the1600 block of Juniper Street, according to a news release from the Roswell Police Department.
They were declared dead at the scene.
Officers discovered the bodies when responding to a welfare check made by a friend of Pearce. The friend reported hearing multiple gunshots while talking to Pearce on the phone. After the gunshots, the friend said Pearce no longer responded on the other end of the phone.
A vehicle belonging to Pearce was also allegedly stolen from the property but later recovered, according to the news release.
