Roswell police are seeking a person of interest in the Tuesday, Sept. 8, shooting that left a man and a woman dead.
Manuel Gallegos, 43, was identified as a person of interest in the double homicide that left Stacia Marie Pearce, 38, and Tony Joseph Ontiveros, 39, according to a news release issued Wednesday, Sept. 9 by the Roswell Police Department. Police want to speak with Gallegos as part of their investigation into the double homicide. No further information about Gallegos was issued.
Pearce and Ontiveros were found dead at 3 a.m. Tuesday during a welfare check at a residence in the 1600 block of Juniper Street. Officers were dispatched after a friend of Pearce’s reported hearing multiple gunshots while talking with Pearce on the phone. Pearce went silent after the shots were fired.
A vehicle belonging to Pearce was allegedly stolen from the property, but was later recovered.
