The Roswell Tribune is the newest publication in the El Rito Media family, launched in 2026 to expand locally focused news and sports coverage in Roswell, Chaves County and southeastern New Mexico. Built around the same community-journalism principles that guide El Rito Media’s established newspapers, the Tribune is focused on providing Roswell-area readers with timely reporting on the issues and events closest to home.

From Roswell and Chaves County government to public safety, business, education, community events and local athletics, the Roswell Tribune is building a news source centered on the people and institutions that make the community distinctive. Roswell may be known around the world for its unique place in popular culture, but the Tribune’s focus is firmly local — reporting on the everyday stories, challenges, accomplishments and people shaping the community today.

Sports Reporter

As a sports reporter for the Roswell Tribune, I cover all athletic programs at Goddard and Roswell high schools. The primary types of stories I write are season and game previews, season and game reviews, and feature stories.

Managing Editor

Managing Editor Adrian Hedden oversees news and sports coverage at the Carlsbad Current-Argus, Artesia Daily Press and Roswell Tribune. He also covers several topics such as oil and gas, nuclear waste, crime and local government.

J.T. Keith

Sports Editor

JT Keith is the regional sports editor for El Rito’s southeastern New Mexico newspapers, leading coverage in Carlsbad and Artesia and directing sports content for the Roswell Tribune. Based in Artesia since February 2025, he reports on Bulldogs athletics.
