The upcoming race for Governor is critical for New Mexico. The Democrats are looking to control our Executive and Legislative branches of state government for another four years. Right now, New Mexico ranks at the bottom of many good lists and at the top of many bad lists. The Democrats will tell you that once Deb Haaland is elected all of that will improve. Just don’t buy into it. Were it true, it would have already happened.
While about one-third of New Mexico’s Governors since statehood have been Republican, there has not been an elected Republican majority in the State Senate for nearly 100 years. And during that same 100 years, there has been an elected Republican majority in the House only twice – and for two years each time. Deb Haaland, if elected, will only add her name to the list of Democrat governors who have brought New Mexico to the edge of the cliff where we now stand.
Gregg Hull is different. He is a successful businessman and was the recent, three-term Mayor of Rio Rancho, the fastest growing city in New Mexico. Being a mayor, especially a three-term Mayor, means Gregg knows how to listen. Gregg knows how to work hard and produce results. He has a track record. Deb Haaland has no such record. Gregg knows how to plan and how to manage growth. Deb Haaland does not. She is out of touch with New Mexico.
For this race Experience truly must matter. New Mexico needs someone who has shown they can lead and get things done. Gregg Hull has a record of accomplishment, Deb Haaland has no record at all.
If you want a Governor who understands what it takes to achieve prosperity and develop opportunities, a Governor who understands what it is like to be on the front lines of a growing and prospering city, a Governor who can find solutions and create positive results, you must vote for Gregg Hull. It is as simple as that. When he is elected, his hardest challenge will be in finding solutions with a Legislature that is controlled by Democrats. That will not be easy. Having a Republican Governor though, means the solutions either party advocates must be solutions that are good for New Mexico. Only then can they become law. Should Deb Haaland be elected, the Democrats will continue to have carte blanche to push the policies, programs and laws that have put New Mexico where it is today.
I fully endorse Gregg Hull for Governor and will vote for him in November. I ask that you do the same. Our state’s future is absolutely at stake. We can’t continue to travel down the same pot-holed road.
