Roswell Parade Kicks Off the Eastern New Mexico State Fair

Roswell residents lined Main Street Monday for the parade that opened this year’s five-day Eastern New Mexico State Fair. 

Spectators at the parade watched floats, marching bands and cadets from the New Mexico Military Institute make their way to the fairgrounds. The parade began at 10 a.m. at the Wool Bowl on North Grand Avenue, turned right onto East College Boulevard, then left onto North Main Street and proceeded south.

Political candidates, local and state government agencies, businesses, nonprofit organizations and schools were among those who marched or rode in vehicles ranging from tractors to fire trucks.
