Roswell football quarterback Andruw Fuentez leads Coyotes to 64-60 season opening win over Hobbs

The Roswell Coyotes football team defeated the Hobbs Eagles 64-60 in their season opener at the Wool Bowl.

Coyotes quarterback Andruw Fuentez scored his first rushing touchdown of the year with 30 seconds remaining in the game, sealing the win.

Roswell (1-0) returns to action at 7 p.m. CDT Friday, Aug. 28, against Randall High School in Amarillo, Texas.

A future story on the win over Hobbs will be published.
