Prizes, candy and a witch laughing contest were all part of the Mortals and Monsters Market on Saturday, Oct. 31, where crowds came to celebrate Halloween.

The market featured 10 vendors and a food truck at Reischman Park, 308 N. Main St. People in costumes milled about looking at an array of merchandise. The family-friendly event was put on by House of Hercules, a local business that makes and sells lotions and soaps.

The market was part of a day of Halloween festivities throughout Roswell, including the Downtown Roswell Candy Hunt, where trick-or-treaters went from business to business for candy and other Halloween treats. A total of 51 businesses took part in this year’s Candy Hunt, according to a flyer advertising the event.

Here are some scenes from the Candy Hunt and market.
